Survivors include her husband, Simon DeLeon of Center Point; four daughters, Antonia DeLeon of Center Point, Margie Jeffers of Castroville, Mary Cervantes of Austin, and Janie Perez of Center Point; six sons, Robert DeLeon of Medina, Steve DeLeon of Kerrville, Rene DeLeon of San Antonio, Roy DeLeon of Boerne, Charlie DeLeon of Kerrville, and Danny DeLeon of Center Point; one sister, Elsa Garza of Kerrville; 32 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Mike DeLeon.
A rosary will be recited Sunday, May 3, 1998, at 7 pm at Grimes Funeral Chapels. Mass will be at 2 pm Monday, May 4, at Notre Dame Catholic church with the Rev. Michael Boulette celebrant. The interment will be at Center Point Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Friends of Hospice, 1121 Broadway, Kerrville, Texas, 78028. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
