Mr. Gilbert passed away Sunday, March 27, 2011, at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center. Mr. Gilbert was born in Ogdensburg, the son of Walter H. ands Agnes Prudhomme Gilbert. He served in the U. S. Army from 1960 to 1962, then worked as a painter at Standard Shade Roller in Ogdensburg. He retired in 1988 after 28 years. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, where he was named Knight of the Year in 2009.
Mr Gilbert served as a Eucharist Minister and was very active in Notre Dame Church. He was an outdoorsman and loved spending time outside and with his family.
