HELPER, UT --Yolanda Spadafora Bruno, age 85, passed away March 21, 2000 at the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.

She was born October 27, 1914 in Green River, Utah to Carmen and Theresa Vetere Spadafora. Married John Albert Bruno April 1, 1934 in Helper, Utah. He died May 15, 1991.

Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society and she was named woman of the year.Longtime resident of Helper. She enjoyed cooking and her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by daughter and spouse, Marie Rose and Tony Nelson, Draper; brother, Adolph and Ina Spadafora, Green River; sisters-in-law, Lydia and Dan James, Helper; Allene Spadafora, Green River; four grandchildren and spouses, Lori Ann and Chris Gay, Salt Lake City; Cheryl Lee Harvey, Rancho Bernardo, CA; Anthony Lawrence and Jennifer Nelson, Holladay; Patricia Ann and James Schierer, King City, CA; great-grandchildren, Brent, John, Jacob, Alison and AnnMarie.

Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Frank and Tony; three sisters, Gilda, Rose and Clara.

Funeral Mass Saturday, March 25, 2000, 10 a.m. St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service Friday evening 7:30 p.m. at the church in Helper. Friends are welcome at Mitchell's daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Committal service Mtn. View Cemetery, Helper. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to St. Anthony Catholic Church in Helper.
