LYLE TONEY DIES AT LANDER, WYO., OF PNEUMONIA; WILL BE BURIED HERE FRIDAY

Lyle Toney, a brother of C. C. Toney of this city, died Sunday, March 13, at Lander, Wyo., from pneumonia. The remains will arrive in Goodland Friday and interment will be made in the Goodland cemetery. The deceased formerly lived in Goodland, and left about a year ago, going to Colorado. He was at the time of his death employed in the Wyoming oil fields. An obituary notice will be published next week.

OBITUARY--TONEY

Lyle Toney was born at Soldiers Grove, Crawford, Wisconsin, September 26, 1897, having lived in that county with his parents until 10 years of age, then he moved with his parents to Illinois.

He came west with his mother eight years ago, to make their home with his brother, C. C. Toney, who then lived in Colorado. Four years ago C. C. Toney moved to Goodland, where Lyle made his home until last April, and at this time, he went to work in Colorado and from there he went to Landers Wyoming, where he passed away of pneumonia, March 13, 1921.

News of his illness was not received until Thursday, preceding his death.

He leaves to mourn his father in Excelsior, Wisconsin, 3 brothers D. R. Toney of Muskegon, Wis., J. R. Toney of Los Angeles, Cali., and C. C. Toney of Goodland, Kansas. His mother having passed to the Great Beyond last May.

The funeral services were held in the Christian church of Goodland March 19th, conducted by the Rev. Chas. Stewart and B. A. Channey. Interment was made in the Goodland cemetery.
