George Martin Hunsucker is the son of William A Hunsucker and Mary Ann Blake. His mother was institutionalized at the Western NC asylum when he was an infant. She died there in 1895 and is buried there.
George was then reared by his mother's parents, William Martin Blake and Martha Morris Blake.
He married Lucy Belle Adcock and they are the parents of Serena, Mary, Jesse Clifton, Louise, G M, Dorothy, Billy Ray and Dolores Hunsucker. Jesse died in infancy.
