Joyce Marlene Shepherd passed from this life on October 23, 2006. She was 66 years old. Joyce was born on April 6, 1940 in the small town of Anthon, Iowa to Harold and Verna Bartlett. At the age of four, Joyce moved to Vallejo, California where she and her family lived for the next 30 years. Joyce moved to Washington in 1966 where she raised her family in Mount Vernon and later moved to Ferndale. She returned to Mount Vernon in 2002.
Joyce is survived by her husband Robert, two sons and a daughter - Rob and Karla Shepherd of Mount Vernon and their children Kortney, Krista, and Kassidy; Doug and Cathryn Shepherd of Ferndale and their children Cody, Austin and Trinell; and Tina Devries of Bellingham and her son Derek. She is also survived by one sister Barbara Clock and two brothers Dennis and Douglas Bartlett.
She was preceded in death by her parents. A private family burial will be held at Greenacres Cemetery in Fernalde.
