"Sudden Death Of Mrs. Ferrin At Miami"
"...Mrs. R.M. Ferrin, of Live Oak Street, died this morning after an illness of ten days. The illness became so serious yesterday afternoon that it was necessary to perform an operation which took place this morning under the care of Dr. J.H. Lacy. Owing to the weak condition of Mrs. Ferrin she could not be revived after the performance of the operation, therefore it was necessary to hold an inquest over the remains and the following verdict was rendered: "We the undersigned summoned as a coroners jury to ascertain the cause of the death of Mrs. Mary Ferrin, wife of B.W. Ferrin, who died this morning at Miami, Gila County, Arizona between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 o'clock, find that due to internal conditions which were impossible for a physician to ascertain deceased came to her death from the effects of chloroform administered during the performance of an operation. W.P. White, L.D. Van Dyuke, J.D. Houstin, C.R. Temple, J.D. Kenney, C.E. Golding, jurors.
Lafayette P. Nash, coroner.
The remains will be taken to Thatcher, the old home of Mrs. Ferrin, for burial."
