Mrs. John C. Anderson Dead
Mrs. John C. Anderson, 425 Congress St., died Wednesday afternoon in the Fuller Rest Home, 618 W. Fifth Ave.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel, conducted by the Rev. S. W. English, pastor of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Lena E. Rees, the daughter of David and Mary Moran Rees, was born Dec. 17th, 1878, in Creston, Iowa. She was married to Arthur S. Allen, Jan. 14th, 1903, in Emporia. He died April 16th, 1920. She was married to John C. Anderson March 15th, 1929, in Emporia. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Emporia. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Jan. 18th, 1943; one son, Clifford H., one brother, Clyde S. Rees, and one sister, Nora B. Crawford, and is survived by one son, Carl M., 618 Oak St.; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Smith, Moab, Utah; Mrs. Max Wisegarver, Topeka, and Mrs. Charles G. Toelle, 425 Congress St.; four granddaughters and two grandsons.
