Richard "Dick" Leon Ohrn, 80, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, after battling a lengthy illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1931 in San Diego. He was the father of four, and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Richard was educated at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, Calif. Richard was a highly-skilled sheet-metal worker, avid genealogist, and gardening enthusiast. He was also an honorable U.S. Navy veteran who served during the Korean War as recruit petty officer and brigade bugler, second class. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elda Naomi Ohrn; and grandson, McKay Daniel Royal. Richard is survived by son, Jeffrie Ladd Ohrn of Montana; daughters, Jill Lynn Warren, Cheryl Marie Royal, and Sandra Ann Rothmund, all residents of Las Vegas. Richard is also a grandpa of 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at 9 a.m., Wednesday, June 6, with funeral services following, both at the LDS Chapel, 10970 Bermuda Road. Burial will be held immediately after, at Davis Memorial Park, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
