Services for Clarence A. Bixler, 78, of Painesville Township, a retired employee of Diamond Shamrock, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Mr. Bixler died Saturday at LakeEast Hospital in Painesville.
Born Nov. 25, 1911, in Painesville, he lived there all his life.
He retired in 1972 from Diamond Shamrock after working there since 1930 as superintendent of the electrical and engineering department.
Survivors are his wife, Wilma; sons, C. Dale of St. Louis, Richard of Athens, Ga., and Garfield of Painesville; daughter, Ada Fry of Painesville, brother Art of Detroit; sisters, Marie Beech of Painesville and Alyce Stranger of Bedford Heights; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
