Mr. J. Henry Burress, of Elkhorn, and well known throughout this county, died last Saturday after an illness of only a few days of heart trouble. The deceased was born July 13, 1865 and was the son of G. E. and Elizabeth Hazzard Burress. He was married to Sallie R. Rice in February 1909. He was a splendid citizen and a devout member of the Bethel Presbyterian Church. His death was a shock to his many relatives and friends. His is survived by his wife, four brothers, and one sister. The funeral services were conducted Sunday by his Pastor Rev. Osborn. To the bereaved wife, brothers, sister, relatives and friends we extend our sincere sympathy. ~The News-Journal, Thursday, June 28, 1923
