SCRANTON - Mrs. Janie H.
Ard, 69, Rt. 2, Scranton, died
Sunday afternoon in a Lake City
hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be at
3:30p.m. Tuesday at the Union
Baptist Church of Hannah with
Rev. David Cromer, Rev. H. C.
Fortson and Rev. Joesph Cagle
officiating. Burial, directed by
the Brockington Funeral Home,
will be in the Beaulah Free Will
Baptist Church cemetery.,Nephews
will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Ard was born in Flor
ence County, a daughter of the
late James E. and Ella Jones
Hutchinson. She was the widow
of James K. Ard and was a
member of the
Union Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Troy
0. Ard of Columbia and Lavoyd
M. Ard of Pamplico; a daugh-
ter, Mrs. Jack Boswelll of Scranton;
five sisters, Mrs. Theodore
(Pearl) Hayes and Mrs. Robert
(Mollie) Poston, both of Pamplico
Mrs. Burris (Bessie) Powell
of Florence, Mrs. Lacy (Daisy)
Powell of Marion and Mrs. K. B.
(Lilly) Calcutt of Hemingway,
two brothers, Jake Hutchinson
of Florence and LeRoy Hutchnson
of Georgetown; 21 grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren
