Naomi was born in East St. Louis, Illinois on January 14, 1925 to Richard Monroe Avery and Viola Olivi Cobb. She married James Orville Kirkwood (deceased) in Belleville, Illinois in 1940. She later married Wayne Alfred Devey, Feburary 18, 1949 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away July 11, 1990.
Naomi was an active member of the LDS Church and served 5 missions. She was a volunteer and served as a Pink Lady at the American Fork Hospital and served on the state board. Mom loved people and everyone loved her.
She is survived by her children, James (Charlotte) Kirkwood, Alan (Karen) Kirkwood, Marian (Stan) Orme, and Marie Devey, 16 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne; her son Robert Wayne Devey, a granddaughter, Rebecca and all of her siblings.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday March 4, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pacific Drive 2nd Ward, 507 West 700 North, Am. Fork. Friends may call Monday March 3rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, Am. Fork and Tuesday at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Burial in the American Fork Cemetery.
