He was born April 7, 1936, in New Eagle, a son of the late Mike and Mary Lapushansky Molek.
Mr. Molek attended the Walkertown School and was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. at the Allenport mill for 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Tkach Molek; four sons, Amos T. Molek of Colorado Springs, Fred A. Molek and Edward J. Molek, both of Coal Center and Pete L. Molek of Ellsworth; two grandchildren, Pete Matthew Molek and Reagan Lee Molek; five brothers, John and Andy Molek, both of Charleroi, and Frank, Joe and Matt Molek, all of coal Center; seven sisters, Verna Molek and Patty Helman, both of Coal Center, Dolores Calamb of Monessen, Betty Miller of Charleroi, Judy Stringhill of Belle Vernon, Ruth Lutes of Stockdale and Margie Gibino of charleroi R.D.2; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is an infant twin brother.
