Mary died on April 23, 1894 at 2:00 a.m. at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 22 days at her residence at 853 7th Ave, New York City, New York, where she had lived for six months. Cause of death: Abdominal Carcinoma. The length of her illness was about two years. She was buried on April 24, 1894 in Evergreens Cemetery
