Mr. T.W. Avery, a member of the Legislature from Umatilla county, died on Sunday, the 8th, at the residence of his father-in-law. Mr. Avery had been suffering with an affliction of the throat and lungs for several years. As a politician he was most ultra as a democrat. As a man he had a kind heart and man genial qualities.
