MARIE DLOUHY

Marie A. Dlouhy, maiden name Cvach, was born December 8, 1867 in Sudomerce kaj Tabor, Czechosloavkia and died at her home in tobias on December 2, 1940, at the age of 72 years, 11 months, and 24 days.

In 1887, at the age of 19 years, she came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rada near Crete, Nebr. On November 1st of the same year, she was united in marriage to Adolph Dlouhy of Wilber, Nebraska. To this union were born 9 children , 5 sons and 4 daughters. They lived on a farm 5 miles north of Wilber for one year, then moved to a farm 1 mile south of Milligan. In the spring of 1890, they moved to the farm 2 miles northwest of Tobias where her husband passed away in the year of 1913. She continued living on the farm until the spring of 1934, when she moved to Tobias.

She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons, Adolph, Albert, and Joe; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Herynk, Mrs. Bohuslva Startiz,; Mrs. Mary Bedlan, and Mrs. Agnes Snyder; one step-daughter, Mrs. Bessie Kratina; 29 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; one brother, John Cvach in Czechosloavkia. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one having died in infancy, and one at the age of 21. Also one brother Frank Cvach and one sister, Mrs. John Vostrez. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic church.
