Job D. Allen Dead.
Job D. Allen, who lived in Emporia until about six years ago, died Friday night at his home six miles west of Lawrence, after a 2 weeks' sickness. He was 82 years old. Mr. Allen was a member of the Friends church at Emporia and of the Masonic lodge here. He served as Lyon county assessor from 1910 to 1912. He also was a city assessor for a number of years. He is survived by his widow.
The body will be brought to Emporia following short funeral services at the home Monday morning. Funeral services will be held at the Friends church here at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Carl D. Byrd, pastor. Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery. The Masons will be in charge of services at the grave.
