D. C. Allen Dead.
D. C. Allen died this afternoon. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made. He had not been well for some time but his death is due more to his old age than anything else. For years Mr. Allen has been a member of the board of health and was a familiar figure around town where he has a long list of friends. His only son in Emporia is Job Allen.
Mr. Allen came to Kansas from Indiana, and until twelve years ago lived on a farm near Plymouth, when he moved to Emporia. Mrs. Allen is dead and for years He has lived with his son, Job Allen, at 614 Exchange street, where he died. He was 82 years old.
