Mary E. Hemerly, 87, of Fogelsville, formerly of Lynnport, died Monday, Oct. 27, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of the late John W. Hemerly Sr.
She was a machine operator at the former Burkey Knitting Mill, Hamburg, in the 1960s and early 1970s, and a waitress at the former Fatzinger's Hotel, New Tripoli, in the 1950s and 1960s.
Born in Lynn Township, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Eva (Gruver) Fister.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Jerusalem Union (Red) Church, Kempton R.1.
She was also a member of the Kempton Fire Company and the the Lynnport Fire Company Auxiliary.
Survivors: Daughters, Anna M., wife of Stewart D. Blose, with whom she resided, and Eva J., wife of Arlan C. Kunkel of Kempton R.2; sons, Earl J., John W. Jr. and Terry P., all of Lynnport, and Karl E. of Breinigsville; sisters, Mrs. Olive Kistler of Kempton R.2, Mrs. Emma Lenhart and Lenore, wife of Ethan A. Bond, both of Kempton, and Mrs. Florence Bond of Edenberg, Berks County, and 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 20 step-great-grandchildren and 30 step-great-great-grandchildren.
