Rites Held For Longtime Resident

Mrs. Mary Streetman, 79, of Grapeland died at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Community Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 20, in the local First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenneth Mobley officiating. Burial was in the Davis Cemetery.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Mary Almira Streetman was born in Altha, Florida, April 23, 1891, daughter of the late John P. Willis and Mrs. Lucy Lamb Willis. Her late husband, A. H. Streetman, died February 27, 1970. Most of her life was spent in Grapeland, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Streetman, Grapeland, and Coy Streetman, Schulenburg; one daughter, Mrs. Jimmy (Floy) Spruill, Crockett; two brothers, Marvin Willis, Grapeland and Guy Willis, Jasper; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Gray, Cleveland, and Mrs. Lois Payne, Shaftner; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by Hassel and Foster.
