Funeral service was held Wednesday in Rule in the church of which Mr. Willis had been pastor. Rev. E.B. Bowen of Stamford, presiding elder of the Stamford district, conducted the service. Burial was made in Gorman, Texas, Thursday.
Mr. Willis was serving his second year as pastor at Rule when he became ill. A $10,000 educational building was erected in 1937 under his leadership and plans were being made for the erection of a main auditorium. Before going to Rule he was pastor for three years at Happy when a new church and parsonage were built during his pastorate.
Survivors: widow, four small children.
