Georgia Rae Thomas, age 81, of Fulton, Missouri passed away at her home on May 30, 2012
Georgia was born October 29, 1930 in, Portland, Missouri, the daughter of the late Adolph Brashear and the late Inez (Hayes) Brashear. On November 25, 1955 she was united in marriage to Doyle Thomas who survives her passing.
In addition to her husband, Georgia will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters, Nancy Moore and fiance Jamie Smith of Fulton, Missouri and Tammy Cox (Charles) of Americus, Missouri; three grandchildren, Michelle Langston , Taylor Cox, and Jordan Cox; three step-grandchildren, Niki Cox, Steven Cox and Phillip Cox.
In addition to her parents, Georgia was preceded in death by two brothers, John Brashear and Wallace Brashear; five sisters Maurice Brashear, Rose Ferguson, Margaret Elsenrath, Irene Nolte and Dorothy Schlatt.
Georgia worked at Brown Shoe Factory before moving on to the Fulton State Hospital where she worked for twenty-nine years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Baby. Georgia also enjoyed cooking.
Funeral services will be 11:00a.m. on Friday, June 1, 2012, at Maupin Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Williamson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00am-until time of service also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens.
