Friederich Knoblauch died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Brittemeyer [sic], south Spruce street at the age of nearly 88 years, his birthday being on the 5th of August next. General infirmity was the cause. The funeral will take place from the German Lutheran church on East Second street tomorrow afternoon, Rev. Rathert officiating. The deceased came here about two years ago, though he had been a resident of this country about twenty years. He has been an invalid for some time but confined to his bed only a short time. Death was peaceful and painless.
