Mr. Mashburn was born July 28, 1921, in Baldwin County, Ala., and was a resident of the Orange Grove Community in Moss Point. He was a retired shipfitter from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 3373 in Pascagoula.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joseph and Minnie Mashburn.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Mashburn of Moss Point; a son, Danny Wayne of Gautier; two daughters, Beverly Magee of Helena and Sabrina Turner of Grand Bay, Ala.; a sister, Edna McCormack of Moss Point; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa.
