Horace Andrew Skiles Sr., 83, Richmond, Mo., died March 9, 1992, in the Shirkey Leisure Acres Nursing Home, Richmond. He was a lifelong Richmond resident. Mr. Skiles was a repairman for the John Deere Co. before he retired in 1970. He was a member of the Richmond Methodist Church. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Lexington, Mo. Survivors include his wife, Edith Fulkerson Skiles of the home; two sons, Horace A. Skiles Jr., Richmond, and Marty G. Skiles,Hardin, Mo.; three daughters, Rita Y. Callenberger, Hardin, Bonnie K. Skalland, Kansas City, and Rosemary J. Cobb, San Antonio; two brothers, John W. Skiles, Richmond, and Emmitt L. Skiles, Belton; two sisters, Mildred Burchit, Kansas City, Kan., and Helen Arnold, Richmond; 14 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a stepgreat-granddaughter. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Hardin Baptist Church; burial in New Hope Cemetery, near Hardin.
