Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Alice Sharp, 91, will be held today, Thursday, July 25, at 2 p.m. in the Beech Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. D. L. Druien in charge. Mrs. Sharp died July 23 at the Mary Immaculate Hospital, Lebanon, Ky., where she had been a patient for 4 days. She was born August 6, 1876 in Adair County, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Curry Hinton. Mrs. Sharp was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Black Gnat and had lived most of her married life at Black Gnat. For the past two years she had been at Cedars of Lebanon Nursing Home in Lebanon, Ky. On July 16, 1891, she was married to Hector O. Sharp, who preceded her in death on June 13, 1941. Survivors include 4 daughters and 1 son, Mrs. Ebb Larimore, Rt. 4; Mrs. Sam Gardner, Campbellsville; Mrs. Eva Akins, Campbellsville; Mrs. Mayme Wayne, Campbellsville; and Ralph Sharp, Campbellsville; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Hinton, Route 4 and Guy Hinton, Green County; one sister, Mrs. Bessie Sharp, Jacksonville, Illinois. Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery and pallbearers will be her grandsons.
