Coy Shepherd
Coy Shepherd, 81, of Hueysville, died Sunday, December 17, 2000, at Highlands Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, following an extended illness.
Born on July 14, 1919, in Hueysville, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Burlie Coburn Shepherd. He was a disabled veteran, having served in the Army, Navy, Air Force and U.S. Marines. He served in World War II and Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, a member of the American Legion Post 086 in Kendallville, Indiana.
Survivors include Alex Shepherd and Lloyd Shepherd, both of Kendallville, Indiana; three sisters, Tilly Stevens of Kendallville, Indiana, Norma Lovely of Avilla, Indiana, and Faye Shepherd of Hueysville.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, December 20, at 11 a.m., at the Salt Lick Community United Baptist Church, at Hueysville, with Bethel Bolen, Cullin Caudill and Allen Shaffins officiating.
Burial will be in the Shepherd Cemetery, Hueysville, under the direction of Nelson-Frazier Funeral Home, Martin.
