Funeral services for Flossie Cole, 77, were held in the Salem General Baptist Church September 29, 1983, with Rev. Robert Roberts and Rev. Dwain Moore officiating.
Mrs. Cole died in Chastain's Rest Home in Ava September 26, 1983. She was a member of the Salem General Baptist Church.
Flossie was the daughter of W.H. and Ella (Myers) Hampton. She was married to Claude Cole, who preceded her in death June 1, 1973. Also, one daughter, Ama Pellham and one son, Henry, preceded her in death.
She is survived by three daughters, Vada Herd, Springfield; Alma Rhoads and Nina Stehle, Ocie; one son, Billy Cole, Kansas City; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Bertha Ledbetter, Ava; Walsie Ayers, Cabool; one brother, Monroe Hampton, Theodosia.
Burial was in the Lutie Cemetery in Theodosia under the direction of Cinkingsbeards of Ava.
