Gertrude Davis Neeley, age 66 of the Reeds Creek Community in Keokee, VA. was born on Sunday, June 3, 1945 and went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 25, 2012 at her home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a homemaker and loved working in her garden and loved her family very much. She was also a member of the Lambs Chapel Church in Jonesville, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Luther (Gobe) and Floria Davis. Three sisters, Madge Davis, Ferel Davis and Dorothy Baggett. One brother, Henry (Jack) Davis. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Neeley of the home. Five brothers, Ulysses Davis of Keokee, VA. Paul Davis and wife Agnes of Keokee, VA. Jessie Davis of Michigan. Bert Davis and wife Alma of Pennington Gap, VA. and Ralph Davis and wife Linda of Dryden, VA. Also many nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. with the funeral following at 8:00 P.M. in the Province Funeral Home Sanctuary in Pennington Gap with Rev. L.J. Ellis and Rev. Kenneth Neeley officiating. Music will be provided by the singers from the Lambs Chapel Church. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 28, 2012 at the Robbins Chapel Cemetery in Robbins Chapel. Pallbearers will be Paul Davis, Jr., Mikel Davis, Roger Davis, Aaron Mason, Marty Davis and Scotty Davis. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:00 A.M.
