Paul Jefferson Davis age 92 was born October 10, 1927 in Keokee, VA and went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Lee Health and Rehab in Pennington Gap, VA.
He was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He worked for Laurel Branch Coal Co. before retirement. He attended several different churches when he was able to go.
He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Davis, parents Martin Luther (Gobe) and Floria Davis, four sisters Gertrude Neeley, Dorothy Baggett, Ferrel and Madge Davis, two brothers Jessee Davis and Henry Ray (Jack) Davis.
Paul is survived by two daughters Delorce (Bill) Clark, three sons Mikel (Elaine) Davis, Paul Jr. (Jean) Davis and Roger (Sherry) Davis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren Angie Clark, Scottie (Trina) Clark, Jason Clark, Kevin Davis, Stephanie (Mike) Sprinkle, Adrena (Lindsey) Christolear, Joni (Jonah) Watson, seven great-grandchildren Brianna (Tyler) Twigg, Cody Maggard, Raechel and Ryan Clark, Jacob and Justin Olin, Mallory Watson and one great-great-granddaughter Adalynn Twigg, also three brothers Ulysses Davis of Keokee, VA, Bert (Alma) Davis of Pennington Gap, VA and Ralph (Linda) Davis of Dryden, VA.
