Boyd Bridges, 78, of Stewardson, died Friday in St. Anthony Memorial Hospital, Effingham.
Mr. Bridges was born in Shelby County, a son of John T. and Ida Storm Bridges. He was a member of the American Legion. He married Leota Cox, March 19, 1921. She died in 1963.
Surviving are sons, Boyd P. of Mattoon; Vern and James, both of Windsor; daughters, Mrs. Emma Sanders and Mrs. Jeanne Ferguson, both of Mattoon; Mrs. Anna Terry of Kirkwood; brother, Roy of Windsor; 14 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, a great granddaughter, two sisters and two brothers.
Burial in Lower Ash Grove Cemetery.
