John Thomas Bridges, whose death on Apr. 19, was chronicled in last week's Gazette, was born May 29, 1870 to James and Nancy Bridges. Besides his wife, Ida May Storm Bridges, he leaves four sons, Melvin of Rantoul, Boyd, Edmond and Roy of Windsor; one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell of Salt Lake City, UT. One daughter, Mrs. Oscar [Edna] Galey, passed away Apr. 17, 1942. Also bereft are 23 grandchldren, 14 great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Laura Figgins of Strasburg. He was a member of the Church of Christ and spent his entire life in Ash Grove township. Windsor Gazette - 29 Apr 1943
