Ambrose J. Adams, 64, of Rural Waldorf died Friday, Jan. 7, 1994, at his home. Funeral services were 22:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waldorf, the Rev. Jack Krough officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's Community Cemetery in Waldorf. Visitation with the family was 2 p.m. until the time of services at the church. Casketbearers were Dennis Braunshausen, Robert Farley, Mark Born, Ralph Huxford, George Doyle and Thomas Traynor. Mr. Adams was born Dec. 24, 1929, to Timothy and Mary (Mathews) Adams in Freedom Township, Waseca County. He attended Waldorf High School and farmed with his parents and brother. For 21 years, he worked in the maintenance division of Brown Printing in Waseca. He served as a quartermaster in the U. S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He married Judy Rah on Jan. 9, 1960, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waldorf. Mr. Adams is survived by his wife; two sons, David and his wife, Amy of Minneiskia and Dennis of St. Charles; two daughters, Suzanne and her husband Dean Harris of North Mankato and Stephanie and her husband James Clark of Mountain Home, Idaho; four brothers, John and his wife Vernell of Watertown, S. D., Ray and his wife Genivive of Easton, James and his wife Doris of Waldorf and Donald and his wife Rosalie of Rapid City, S.D.; three sisters, Eileen Atchley of North Mankato, Mary and her husband, Bob Meurer, of Mankato and Evelyn and her husband, Russ DeVine, of Watertown, S.D.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one infant sister and two nieces.
