DEATH OF MRS. CHARLES BURKHART.
After a several years' illness, Mrs. Carolina Burkhart died at her home on West Groggin street, Wednesday morning, April 9, 1913, at 5 o'clock.
Deceased was formerly Miss Carolina Gieselman. She was born in Macon county July 24, 1872, and was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Zion church, numbered among its most faithful and zealous adherents. She was a devoted wife and mother and loyal friend and neighbor. In her death great loss is sustained by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her husband, Charles Burkhart, two children, Edgar and Gladys, her stepmother, Mrs. Morris Gieselman, four brothers, Louie, of Macon, Albert, Edward and Herman, and one sister, Miss Louise Geiselman, of St, Louis, besides a number of other relatives and a large circle or friends.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon. A short service was held at the family residence at 2:30 o'clock and at 3:00 o'clock from the Lutheran church, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. Lehr. Interment in City cemetery.
