Ethel Huffman, 95, died Monday (Sept. 1, 1980) in the Schmitt Woodland Hills Health Care Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Huffman was born March 24, 1885, in Richland County. She was the daughter of Mahlon and Mary Smith McNelly.
She married Howard Huffman Oct. 12, 1904, and he preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1937. She was also preceded in death by three sons, Bernard, Myron, and Francis.
Mrs. Huffman is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Helen Wanless, Mrs. Bessie Durnford, and Mrs. Catherine Gillingham, all of Richland Center; two brothers, John and James McNelly of Richland Center; a half-brother, Mahlon McNelly, Jr. of Des Moines, Ia.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Madonne Eng of Blue River; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Wednesday in the Pratt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating. Burial was in the Fancy Creek Cemetery.
