Mrs. Anna Baker died at 7 o'clock on Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. Gutshall, at Carlisle Springs. She was the widow of John Baker and was a daughter of David Braught, being born in North Middleton township on July 10, 1817 Her age was 91 years, three months and eight days.

A fact remarkable about her life was that up until the time of her accident she was able to be about and was quite active. For many years she resided east of Carlisle, and In 1893 moved to Carlisle, living on South Hanover street (sic). Last June she relinquished housekeeping and went to Carlisle Springs to make her home with her daughter. She met with an accident while walking in the yard there and fell, breaking her hip, since which time her decline has been rapid.

Mrs. Baker united with the First Reformed church of Carlisle many years ago, and was a woman of fine Christian character, and was a very kind wife and mother. Her husband died 21 years ago.

The deceased was the last of her immediate family and is survived by three children, Mrs. Gutshall, of Carlisle Springs, and John and Alfred Baker, of Carlisle.

Funeral on Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock, from the home of her daughter. Interment in Ashland cemetery (sic). Friends and relatives invited to attend without further notice.
