ELLSWORTH -- Ramona L. "Monie" Wallert, 80, died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, in Ellsworth. She was born Dec. 31, 1930, in Ellsworth County to John and Katharine (Hermreck) Kueser. A lifetime resident of Ellsworth, she was a homemaker and former bookkeeper for Westerhaus Motors and Ellsworth County Veterans Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Ellsworth.

On Feb. 18, 1951, she was united in marriage to Roy J. Wallert in Ellsworth. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 2009.

Survivors include her daughters, Roxie Little, of Lawrence, Kristi Stallo and husband Joel, of Glastonbury, Conn., Kim Leavell, of Ellsworth, Lori Ranker, of Topeka, and Teresa Thompson and husband Pat, of El Dorado; sisters, Mildred Stefek, of Ellsworth, and Lucille Coupal, of Ellis; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with burial in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth, or Ellsworth County Health Care Foundation, in care of Parsons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 45, Ellsworth 67439.
