Adrian was born July 12, 1925, in Phlox, Wisconsin, son of the late Andrew and Aplonia (VanBoxtel) DeBroux. He was one of eighteen children. Adrian married Shirley Carlson on November 3, 1947. She survives. After serving in the military, he worked in the woods, and later farmed in the Gleason area. Adrian worked as a salesman for Wick Buildings until his retirement. He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, camping, fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family. Adrian's faith was extremely important to him. He loved to socialize with anyone who had the time.
Adrian is survived by his wife, Shirley DeBroux, Merrill; five sons, Ron (Linda) DeBroux, and Denis (Mary) DeBroux, both of Antigo, Randy (Judy) DeBroux, Mosinee, Dwight (Mary) DeBroux, Colorado, and Rusty (Linda) DeBroux, Irma; one daughter, Karen DeBroux (with Chris Buch), Merrill; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son; and two grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 29, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Merrill. The Rev. R. Brian Stolarczyk will officiate. Burial of Adrian's cremated remains will take place at a later date in Luther Memorial Church Cemetery, Town of Russell. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Taylor-Stine Funeral Home, Merrill, and at the church on Monday after 10:00 A.M.
