Ivanhoe -- Services for Lucile Elizabeth Bonczek, 86, of Ivanhoe will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ivanhoe. Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Johns Cantius Cemetery in Wilno. Visitation at the Birk Funeral Home in Ivanhoe will be Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m.
Lucile Bonczek died Wednesday, March 24, 1993, at the Prince of Peace Retirement Community in Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was born July 8, 1906, in Royal Township, Lincoln County, to Nick and Leokadia (Geldon) Bonczek. She was baptized, received her first communion and was confirmed at St. Johns Cantius Catholic Church. She attended a rural school in Royal Township, Lincoln County. In the early 1920s, she moved to Milwaukee, Wis. Later, she lived in Phoenix, Ariz. After moving to Pasedena, Calif., she operated a beauty salon for several years. After several years of retirement in Pasadena, Calif., she moved back to Ivanhoe. She later moved to the Prince of Peace Retirement Home.
Survivors include sisters, Ceil Wilczewski, Helen Bonczek and Josephine Bonczek, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; and brothers, Harry, Walter and Bernie, all of Ivanhoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two infant sisters.
