John Amundsen, Jr., age 37, of Erskine, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday (January 15th) at his home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday (January 22nd) at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mahnomen, MN with the Rev. Arvid Salvhus officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Mahnomen. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service on Thursday (January 21st) and for one hour prior to the service on Friday, all at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. John Semour Amundsen, Jr. was born on November 11, 1972 at UCLA Hospital in Los Angeles, California to parents John M. and Donna (Donaldson) Amundsen. As a young boy he moved to Mahnomen, Minnesota with his family where he attended school. He moved to Erskine, Minnesota in 2002.
John was married to Linda Kay Agnes on November 20, 2004. After their marriage, they made their home in Erskine. He was currently employed at Joe's Auto in Erskine.
John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, playing cards (poker), going to the casino with his wife, watching movies, ufc and mma fighting, watching the Vikings on t.v. with his father, John Sr., spending time with his kids and working. John truly had the gift to "gab"! He also enjoyed giving his co-workers and customers a hard time (in fun). He truly loved life and will be greatly missed.

Amundsen, Sr. of Erskine; one brother, Jim Boisse of Erskine; two sisters, Rocksann Amundsen-Weiby and her husband, Derek, of Fosston, and Alicia Boisse of Detroit Lakes, MN; his mother and father-in-law, Orlean and Debbie Agnes of Fosston; and brother-in-law, Jered Agnes and his wife, Theresa, of Trail, MN; numerous nieces, nephews and one great nephew; and his cat, "Rascal".
He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Amundsen; grandmother, Mary Jane Mouere; uncle, Stan Amundsen; and sister, Colleen Amundsen Horn.
