Frances, age 88, of Flat Rock NC, died at Four Seasons Hospice Elizabeth House. Frances was born to Lannie and Annie Ellenburg in Easley SC; she had eight siblings. Frances was the wife of the late Rev. W.S. Billingsley and was active in the Baptist community. She was preceded in death by her husband and her eldest son, Bill Billingsley (1934-1998). Frances is survived by one son and his wife, a daughter-in-law, six grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, several siblings and numerous extended family members. A memorial service was held at Mud Creek Baptist Church; Thomas Shepherd & Son Funeral Directors and Cremation Memorial Center handled burial arrangements.
North Greenville University honored Frances and her husband Bill with the dedication in 2010 of the 'W.S. & Frances Billingsley Theatre'.
