Cremation has taken place with burial at Valley View Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Goshen Care Center.
Dorothy was born April 22, 1937 in Frannie, Wyoming the daughter of Lewis and Irene (Hanson) Blankship. They lived in various towns throughout Wyoming, finally stopping in Orin, Wyoming. She attended school in Glendo, Wyoming.
She married James W. Lovell in Douglas, Wyoming on July 3, 1953. They had three sons from this union. They lived in various towns in Wyoming for nine years, in Nebraska for two years, and in Illinois, before moving to Torrington in 1977. She had numerous small jobs in the community before starting to work for the Casper Star Tribune in 1985, where she worked for nineteen years.
Dorothy enjoyed various crafts, and motorcycling.
Dorothy is survived by three sons Tom Lovell and his wife Terri and Gene Lovell all of Torrington, Wyoming and Gary Lovell and his wife Pam of Alliance, Nebraska; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
