He was born April 7, 1920, in Cottageville, a son of Thomas and Minerva Sayre. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia E. Sayre; brother, Don C. Sayre; and sister Ada Ruth Sayre.
Ralph was retired from Union Carbide after 30 years service and was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
He is survived by brother, Quintin Sayre; special friends, Frank and Hilda Mynes, and a niece and nephews.
Graveside service with military graveside rites will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 26, at Cunningham Memorial Park Lower Mausoleum, St. Albans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
