Eldest son of Simeon Leland born in Landgrove, Vermont and died on February 15, 1847 in Chester, Vermont and Sylvia Pond.

AARON P. LELAND'S FUNERAL
The second obsequies (the first having occurred in Cleveland, Ohio)of the late Aaron P. Leland took place yesterday at Woodlawn Cemetery. They were attended by all members of the deceased's immediate family, including his brothers, William W., Charles and Warren Leland; six of his sons, Lewis , Horace S., George S., William Jerome, Charles Edwin, and Warren F. Leland; also by his daughter Mrs. Noble B. Wiggins. The services were performed by Rev. Dr. Houghton, and were the usual impressive character of the Episcopal service. Besides the Leland family a large number of other friends testified their respect for the deceased's memory by accompanying the remains to the cemetery. The body was ineterred in the large family plot of the Lelands where a monument has been erected, where the remains of the deceased's wife were buried some six years ago.
