SOUTH LONDONDERRY - Winona Ella Johnson, 67, died Jan. 13, 2006, at her sons' home. She was born Feb. 7, 1938, in Landgrove, the daughter of H. Winston and Ella (Beers) Abbott.


She was educated at Chester High School and received her GED at the age of 41.

Mrs. Johnson was a home party dealer for 24 years. She was a past noble grand and secretary of Kent Rebekah Lodge, a Girl Scout leader and involved with the Londonderry Rescue and Fire Department.

She enjoyed tag sales and country music.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Johnson, of Weston; her children, Robert Snyder, Jeffrey Snyder, Marrianne Felion and Frank Johnson, all of Londonderry; stepchildren, Kenny Johnson and Ed Johnson of Weston, and Glenda Johnson of Arlington; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and step-grandchildren; brothers, Henry Abbott of Florida, Ralph Abbott of Andover and Nelson Abbott of Chester; and a sister, Wanda Bendig of South Londonderry.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Vickie Snyder; and a grandson.

The memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at Second Congregational Church in Londonderry. A reception will follow at her son's home, Jeffrey Snyder, Main Street in Londonderry.

Burial will be at a later date in Landgrove Cemetery.
