HENRY W. ABBOTT
Henry Winston Abbott, 58, of Londonderry, died of a heart attack shortly after shooting a deer Saturday morning.
A native of Landgrove, he was born Sept 19, 1915, the son of Henry and Ella May (Parker) Abbott and resided in that town for most of his youth. He married the former Ella Beers Jan 25, 1937, in Londonderry, and had resided in South Londonderry for 35 years. He belonged to the Second Congregational Church of Londonderry, and was past district deputy of the West River Odd Fellows.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons, Henry Jr. and Ralph, both of Londonderry, and Nelson of Albany, N.Y.; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Bendig of South Londonderry and Mrs. Winona Johnson of Weston; 10 grandchildren, one brother, Warren of Londonderry, and one sister, Mrs. Winifred Lathrop of Spofford, N.H.
Friends may call at the Adams Funeral Home in Chester tonight from 7-9. The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 pm at the Second Congregational Church of Londonderry, with the Rev. Gary Wehrwein officiating. Burial will be in Landgrove Cemetery in Landgrove. Odd Fellows services will be conducted at the graveside.
