CROSSVILLE — Bonnie Sue Gibson, 78, of Crossville, passed away May 16, 2012. Funeral services were held May 20 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Whittaker Cemetery in Monterey, with Bro. Larry Robbins officiating.

She was born Feb. 28, 1934, in Battlecreek, MI, the daughter of J.T. and Velma Smith Vaden. She was retired from Cumberland Medical Center where she worked as an insurance clerk and was also a charter member of Homestead Baptist Church. She served as secretary of the Homestead Tower Association. She had many hobbies, some of which were bird watching, doll collecting, fishing and boating. She was also a gifted seamstress and liked working with crafts. She had a great passion for riding motorcycles.

She is survived by her daughters, Yvone Bertram of Crossville, Lisa Nekhela of Gulfport, MS, and Dell Goldsby of Memphis; brother, Solen Vaden of Knoxville; and grandchildren, Greg Goldsby, Jeremy Bertram, Brittany Bertram, Cameron Farvin and Candra Farvin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Gibson; brothers, Doyle Vaden and Lavon Vaden; and stepdaughter, Elouise Tilson.
