George was born in Bradford Township, Chester County, PA and married Barbara Hoffman on September 2, 1782, and together the had the following children:

Elizabeth, born 12/23/1782, married George Lubold
Isaac, born 8/8/1784
Jacob, born 5/16/1786
Mary, born 7/26/1788
Susanna, born 8/25/1790, married first Jacob Fisher
married second Jacob Yeager
Rachel, born 4/3/1792, married Christopher Lark
George II, born 5/12/1795, married Catherine Yeager
Catherine, born 2/15/1797, married John Yeager
Margaretha, born 8/22/1799, married John George Daniel
John, born 1/7/1804

Barbara and her husband George were probably buried where the John Peter Hoffman memorial stone is now located,at the base of Short Mountain in Lykens, PA. It looks as though, any stones that remained from this small farm cemetery into the 1900's, were relocated to the Hoffman Church Cemetery (St. Peter's now).

Because George served in the militia during the Revolutionary War, I am going to try to have the U.S. Dept. of Military Affairs issue a replacement stone for this grave, as I did for George's brother, Thomas, buried in the Harrisburg Cemetery.

Suggested edit: Hello. I'm wondering if Elizabeth Buffington Lubold is actually the daughter of Benjamin Buffington and his second wife Anna Catherine (widow of Albright Deibler). An 1814 document, which I'd be happy to email to you, describes an agreement between the children of Benjamin's two wives regarding fair division of Benjamin's estate. Elizabeth Lubold and her husband George are listed.

This Elizabeth Buffington (married to George Lubold) was the daughter of Benajmin Buffington & Anna Catharina Shupp as per Benjamin's will in 1814, not George & Anna Barbara Buffington. The Elizabeth Buffington that was the daughter of George & Anna Barbara Buffington has a baptism record at Hoffman's Union Church but cannot be traced forward from there. I will add the photo of Benjamin's will excerpt here as proof since I don't know how else to get it to you. MANY trees have these Elizabeth's mixed up!
