The Albert Badtke residence at 2126 South Twelfth street is shrouded in gloom following the death of the husband and father, Albert Badtke, ages 55, at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon, and the son, Emil Badtke, aged 28, residing at 2125 South Fourteenth street, at 1 o'clock Sunday morning.
Albert Badtke succumbed to apoplexy after an illness of three years. He had been confined to his bed the last six month. He was born August 25, 1860 in Germany and came to Sheboygan thirty-one years ago. He was married in 1886 to Miss Augusta Remus. He was employed at the Northern Furniture company for almost twenty-five years, retiring three years ago when he became ill. He is survived by a widow, one son, Herman, at home, and one daughter, Mrs. Otto Ring, 2128 South Twelfth street. There are also three grandchildren, one brother and two sisters.
Emil Badtke was born in May, 1888 and was married to Miss Ella Wagner on September 2, 1914. He became ill on Saturday, July 8 while working at Cedarburg and was immediately removed to the St. Nicholas hospital where he underwent an operation for the relief of appendicitis. Several years ago he conducted a barber shop on South Twelfth street and about a year and one-half ago he was proprietor of a saloon on South Eighth street. He is survived by a widow and a 15-months-old child, besides his mother, one brother and one sister.
